LRB is excited to be a member of the Pink Boots Society, which is an organization created to assist, inspire and encourage women beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education.
One of the exciting events we do each year is a brew day where we brew a beer using the Pink Boots Blend of hops that is made exclusive by Yakima Chief Hops for this project. This year’s hops blend consists of Azacca, El Dorado, Idaho Gem and Loral hops. Cassie, Kassidy, and Casey at LRB thought a Hazy Pale Ale would be the perfect recipe to highlight the tropical, citrus and piney aromatic qualities of this blend.
So at the beginning of March we spent the day brewing up LRB Pink Boots Hazy Pale Ale and we think it will knock your boots off! The hops were added after the boil during the whirlpool and then again we dry hopped two times during fermentation. Every day we talked to and gave the beer love and it shows. It is smooth with tons of tropical aroma and a citrus taste. ABV: 5.5%
Honestly it came out better than we had hoped, and right now it’s nice to have a little brightness in our day. So come get a crowler. Find a beautiful place maybe with a friend outside (6 feet apart) and raise a glass to Pink Boots!
