Friday, March 8th is International Women’s Day and Pink Boots Society Collaboration Brew Day!

Cassie and Casey got a head start on our collab day so that we could fit this special brew into our beer schedule. Cassie created a recipe for our Pink Boots Belgian Blond using the Pink Boots Hops Blend from Yakima Chief Hops and local malt from Carolina Malt House. She’s been studying a lot of different beer varieties (have you heard about her Beer 101 Class?), as she is prepping for the next level exam in the Cicerone series.

Understanding the brewing process and the different ingredients that create the unique flavors in the many varieties of craft beer deepens our passion for what we are doing here – and it’s not just a boys’ club. Girls enjoy beer too! We encourage ALL of our LRB Family to participate in continued education about craft beer so that they can provide our guests with the best beer experience. Nearly all of our staff members are Certified Cicerone Beer Servers, so don’t hesitate to ask them questions about our beers!

Look for this special Pink Boots Belgian Blond to be released at LRB Spring Recess on Saturday, April 6th, and meet the women behind the beer! While this may have been their first official brew, we can assure you – it won’t be their last!
