Alibi Ale – ABV: 5% IBUs: 32.1
Pale Ale – A classic Pale Ale with a combination of hops that gives a hint of pine and citrus but balanced with a malty backbone.
“…just don’t get caught without one.”
One of the most effective criminal defenses available, the alibi asserts that the accused is truly innocent. A good alibi substantiates the claim that the accused was undeniably elsewhere at the time of the crime. This impeccably crafted American Ale with hints of pine and citrus and a malty backbone affords you the airtight defense of having something far better to do than anything with which you might find yourself accused. You can’t be convicted of anything as long as you’ve got your Alibi. Just don’t get caught without one.
All Rise Ale– ABV: 4.9% IBUs: 35.4
Pale Ale – Our first beer brewed at our Oakland Ave location. A “lighter” version of the Alibi Ale that’s more hop forward on the palate.
“…now in session.”
This is the first beer ever brewed at our Oakland Avenue Brewpub location. A classic pale ale brewed with a combination of hops to give it a hint of pine and citrus, it is well-balanced with a malty backbone. Before we did anything else at our new location, we thought it fitting to make a beer that would stand the test of time. In a courtroom, before anything happens, the bailiff demands that “All Rise.” With that simple statement, it’s accurate to say that the trial, and Legal Remedy Brewing, are now in session.
Witness White IPA – ABV: 4.6% IBUs: 55.7
American IPA – Wheat based beer with 40 lbs of local honey in every batch. Notes of grapefruit with a crisp finish.
“…it’s time to testify.”
A witness is called to offer testimony based on knowledge of information or events that they have experienced first-hand. Under direct examination, cross-examination and potentially even redirect examination, a witness will provide their perspective on the case at hand. You’re about to have some first-hand experience with this White IPA, every batch of which is made with wheat and 40 pounds of honey from a local farm. What you’ll experience is notes of grapefruit with a crisp finish. Now it’s your turn on the stand. So take your seat, it’s time to testify.
Sequestered Saison – ABV: 5.25% IBUs: 12.9
Belgian Saison – A classic Belgian style Saison brewed with sweet orange peels and spices. Notes of banana and clove aroma and flavor.
“…entirely untampered with.”
A jury can be sequestered to avoid accidental or deliberate tampering. Although being sequestered is extremely rare, to avoid interference with the drinker’s objectivity, and due in large part to the intense publicity surrounding this extraordinary handcrafted farmhouse ale and its many interested parties, our brewer has ordered the Saison in this case to be sequestered. In order to prevent members of the drinking public from experiencing undue influence, intimidation or bribes, it is ordered that this beer be tried in the same manner in which it was produced, that being entirely untampered with.
Satisfaction Session IPA – ABV: 4.6% IBUs: 48
Session Single Hop American IPA – A single hop brew highlighting a single, specific hop variety. Intense lemon citrus tones and a floral aroma.
“…satisfies the party’s claim.”
Satisfaction refers to receipt of compensatory factors or performance of what is due. Those directed to satisfy another party’s claim must deliver in due course. This Session IPA has just enough bitterness for the die-hard IPA fan and it delivers just the required amount of a lemon citrus finish. You should enjoy until it satisfies the party’s claim.
Motion to Strike Milk Stout – ABV: 8% IBUs: 22.1
Milk Stout – Aroma and flavor has hints of chocolate and espresso with a smooth, creamy finish.
“…let’s keep this off the record.”
A motion to strike is a request to remove irrelevant, immaterial, or even objectionable information from the court’s record. It can be made at any point during a trial but is most often associated with testimony that might be scandalous or otherwise impugn the reputation of the defendant. This Milk Stout has hints of chocolate, espresso and one of the smoothest finishes you’ll find. In fact, it’s so good, it probably is scandalous. It might be better if we just kept it between us. So go ahead, make a motion, and let’s keep this off the record.
Pro Bono Porter – ABV: 9% IBUs: 37.7
Imperial Porter – Robust porter with coffee and vanilla that’s been aged on oak and bourbon.
“…justice for the masses.”
The legal system is extraordinarily complex and can be quite daunting to the uninitiated. Pro Bono work is legal counsel given freely to the most disadvantaged parts of the community because everyone deserves to have their rights protected. It’s good to volunteer your professional abilities from time to time to help out those in need. But don’t be confused by this Imperial Porter. It’s no ordinary exercise in social activism. Its robust flavor comes from being aged on oak, vanilla and bourbon. Pro Bono Porter is for the people who need it most, and that makes it justice for the masses.
Polygraph Pumpkin Ale – ABV: 8% IBUs: 46.9
Pumpkin Ale – Brewed with pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spices, aged on 42 pounds of rum-soaked raisins.
“…this beer does not lie.”
To make this beer, it took a table full of ingredients – pumpkin, spices, malt, hops, you name it. The brewery smelled like a bakery – but a bakery where you make beer, which is even better. You will taste the pumpkin, spices, and vanilla all wrapped around a sturdy backbone of malt and bittering hops. Just for good measure, we aged it with 42 pounds of rum-soaked raisins. It’s autumn in a glass. Go ahead and test it. You’ll find that this beer does not lie.
Overruled Orange Stout – ABV: 7.6% IBUs: 20.3
Chocolate Stout – Brewed with cocoa and blood orange flavoring.
“…I’ll allow it.”
Objections made during trials are designed to omit or otherwise invalidate testimony or evidence being introduced. Sometimes they are successful, other times they are overruled. The outcome depends on the quality of what’s being introduced. While you might object to the introduction of orange and other flavors to a stout, we are confident that once you introduce this orange-infused chocolate stout to your taste buds, the rest of your mouth will appreciate the hidden ingredients and you’ll say, with confidence, “Is this stout made with oranges and chocolate malt? I’ll allow it.”
Whistleblower Watermelon Wheat – ABV: 6% IBUs: 12.9
American Wheat/Fruit Wheat – Wheat beer brewed with pureed watermelon.
“…it’s probably criminal.”
A Whistleblower divulges details about violations of law or other illegal activities. They often face serious reprisals for revealing trade secrets and can be afforded protection under the law from the alleged wrongdoers. Once you taste this beer, there’s no way you’ll be able to keep it to yourself. We brewed it with pounds of watermelon purée and good old-fashioned American Wheat. It’s light, crisp and delicious. How we squeezed an entire summer picnic into each batch should remain a secret, but we realize that’s unlikely. So go ahead, exercise your moral responsibility and sing like a canary, but first you might want to wet your whistle. You’ll have a lot to say because this beer is so good it’s probably criminal.
Bribery Bittersweet Orange Wheat – ABV: 4.7% IBUs: 21.5
American Wheat – Wheat beer brewed with bitter and sweet orange peels.
“…an enticing indulgence.”
Bribery is the crime of giving or receiving that which would not normally be given or taken to unduly influence one party to alter their behavior. This wheat ale is brewed with bitter and sweet orange peels to generate a tart but refreshing temptation. So sit down, relax, and enjoy a little peace and quiet with this great seasonal beer. But whatever you do, don’t call it a ‘kickback.’ It’s simply an enticing indulgence.
Sidebar Summer Blonde – ABV: 5.25% IBUs: 15.2
American Blonde/Cream Ale – Light beer brewed with orange peels.
“…permission to approach.”
The sidebar conversation is designed to take place out of earshot of the jury. It permits the lawyers to make requests o the judge in conference with the opposing counsel. But this seasonal ale is ready to go. It’s crisp, refreshing and as satisfying as a summer afternoon. Step right up, you don’t even have to ask for permission to approach.
Sequestered Blueberry Saison -ABV: 7.0% IBUs: 14
Belgian Saison – Classic Belgian style Saison brewed with sweet orange peels, 45 lbs pureed blueberries, and spices.
This is our regular Saison to which we’ve added 45 pounds of blueberry puree and other spices. But in order to prevent members of the drinking public from experiencing undue influence, intimidation or bribes, it is ordered that this beer be tried in the same manner in which it was produced, that being entirely untampered with.
