We are taking some of our favorite LRB beers and aging them in wooden barrels ~ bourbon, rum, tequila, wine. Due to variances in time, temperature, and the barrels, each edition will be unique and no two barrels will ever be the same. Just like justice, barrel aging takes time. But we think you will agree that justice never tasted so good.

The Lineup

Volume 1 – Polygraph Pumpkin Ale

Release Date: December 3, 2016

Our pumpkin ale has a special blend of caramel malts, spices, brown sugar, vanilla, pureed pumpkin, and a touch of hops. It’s like pumpkin pie in a glass! To add to this delectable ale, we aged it in 5 year old whiskey barrels for 5 months to give you extra flavors of oak and warming whiskey.

9.0% ABV, 27.5 IBU, Whiskey barrel aged

Volume 2 – The Executioner Imperial Pumpkin Stout

Release Date: December 3, 2016

This hearty Imperial Stout is brewed with chocolatey, roasted malts, pureed pumpkin, spices, brown sugar, vanilla, and coffee then aged for 11 months in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels. You’ll experience the complex flavors of this Stout along with smooth bourbon and oak in every sip.

10.5% ABV, 42.4 IBU, Bourbon barrel aged

Volume 3 – Malice Maple Bacon Russian Imperial Stout

Release Date: February 11, 2017

13 months ago we put our Malice Maple Bacon Russian Imperial Stout in bourbon barrels and aged it to perfection. Maple aroma and a subtle hint of smoky bacon are surrounded by rich bourbon oak notes to create this smooth and satisfying barrel aged stout.

12% ABV, 46.7 IBU, Bourbon barrel aged

Volume 4 – Russian Imperial Stout

Release Date: November 11, 2017

Rich chocolate notes. Pleasant bourbon flavor and aroma. Aged 6 months in oak bourbon barrels.

Volume 5 – Double Barrel Aged Pro Bono Vanilla Porter

Release Date: July 13, 2018

Our Pro Bono Vanilla Porter, aged in two different types of Bourbon barrels. We then blended these barrels and aged it on Madagascar vanilla beans.

10.2% ABV, 38 IBU, Bourbon barrel aged

Volume 6 – Maple Syrup Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

Release Date: September 7, 2018

This Imperial Stout was brewed with pure maple syrup then put into maple syrup bourbon barrels where it aged on cocoa nibs. Huge on chocolate notes with a pleasant bourbon finish.

10.2% ABV, 42 IBU, Bourbon barrel aged

Volume 7 – Apple Brandy Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

Release Date: September 7, 2018

Imperial Stout aged in Apple Brandy Barrels. Notes of apple, coffee, and chocolate, rounded off with a warm finish.

Volume 8 – Barrel Aged Sticky Situation Cinnamon Bun Stout

Release Date: October 26th, 2018

Aged in Bourbon Barrels, a stout with a complex grain bill containing flaked oats, biscuit malt, honey malt, chocolate malt, caramel malt and roasted barley. Brewed with molasses and finished with vanilla beans and cinnamon sticks.
